9 Best Home Remedies to Get Rid of Premature Grey Hair

Early grey hairs (or white hair) are the most common problem facing young generation. It is not a nature but it is most tormenting enemies. Now a day’s 20 to 30 ages of people (Men and women) affect this problem. We often see our hair as a reflection of our identity because it is both personal and public. Many men and women feel that a bad hair day equals a bad day. Basically strands of hair turn white or gray due to low amounts of melanin.

Here are some home remedies for treating grey white hair to black naturally.

These home remedies are very helpful in curing premature graying/whitening of hair effectively.

  • Amla:

Amla is one of the most effective home remedies for white hair, dull hair and hair loss. Amla is the rich source of vitamin C, it has amazing anti-aging properties. In addition to consuming this fruit, you can also apply amla oil or amla pulp on your hair. Boil some pieces of amla in coconut oil until it turns into brown color. Let the oil cool. Apply the oil on your hair and scalp. Leave it on overnight, or at least for an hour, before rinsing it out. Do this at least once or twice a week.

  • Black Pepper:

1 gm of black pepper and ½ cup of curd is also a good option for massaging your hair and scalp to curb grey hair. Lemon juice can also be added to this mixture.

Also, vitamin C & E help to slow down the aging process, which is when gray hair occurs. Vitamin C can be found in citrus fruits and juices, while good sources of vitamin E include corn, nuts and sunflower seeds.

  • Henna:

Henna works as a wonderful natural hair colorant. Mix some organic henna powder and amla powder into water to make a paste. Leave it for at least two hour. Then apply this paste to you scalp or hairs. Wash it after one and half an hour to get natural coloring of hair.

  • Yogurt:

Yogurt is fermented milk which contains minerals like calcium and potassium that prevents the growth of the white hair. Hence, you can take half a cup of yogurt, pour a teaspoon of yeast to the yogurt and mix well till the yeast dissolves in the yogurt. You can drink this soluble mixture every day before or after having your meals, which can be a better cure for the white hair problems.

  • Onion:

Onion is the best home remedy. Make onion paste is the best way to treat white hair. Apply this paste on your scalp and let it dry. Your grey/white hair will turn black in few days. Wash it off after 30 minutes or so. You can shampoo your hair too because onion leaves an unpleasant smell. Use this remedy on a daily basis to get desired results. If you do it once in a week, you will see no progress. So, do this daily or an alternative day.

  • Amla and Hibiscus Flower:

Amla and Hibiscus flowers are natural home remedies that fight against grey or white hair. It is also helps to boost your hair with shine and healthy. Make a paste with amla and extract of hibiscus flower, add 2 table spoon sesame oil and coconut oil to mixture. Apply on your scalp and wait for 30 to 40 minutes. Wash it off with cold water. Repeat this process twice a week to end your problem from the root.

  • Coconut Oil and Lemon Juice:

Coconut oil works wonders for your hair. It moisturizes your hair, stimulates hair growth, fights infections, and adds luster to your hair. When used for a prolonged time, it also helps to remove white hair because it is packed with antioxidants. Mix three teaspoon of lemon juice in some coconut oil. Apply this mixture to your scalp or hairs and massage it into your scalp. Leave it on for at least an hour before shampooing your hair. Repeat this remedy once or twice in a week.

  • Regular Hair Wash:

By washing your hair with good shampoos along with good conditioners will help improve the texture and growth of the hair. Therefore, you can massage your hair gently with your fingers around the scalp which gives more relief, as well as removes your stress.

So, wash your hair weekly to keep your hair thick and healthy; but, do not use these shampoos and conditioners daily, as your hair might turn pale and harsh using these shampoos and conditioners. Also, it is recommended to use mild soaps and shampoos which are excellent treatment for white hairs.

Black tea helps to darken your hair, as well as soften and shiner. It is loaded with antioxidants and caffeine. Boil two teaspoons of black tea in a cup of water. Add a teaspoon of salt in it. Allow it to cool. Wash your hair with this liquid and let it dry, don’t rinse with shampoo. Repeat it 2 to 3 times per week for best results.
